What better way to kick off our scholarship series than with the one everyone's been waiting for? Yes, you guessed it right, we are talking about the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.

What is it?

It's a single master's degree, jointly delivered by a consortium of universities across Europe and partner countries so instead of studying in just one place, you're earning your degree across at least 3 different countries at once (you're low-key collecting countries like Pokemon cards).Who doesn't love collecting passport stamps while someone else foots the bill? Application Window:

Applications typically run October through January for programs starting the following. Since October's only two months out, the clock's already ticking get your documents sorted now, not in September. Heads up: every program has its own deadline, so don't assume and go check yours.

Where to apply?

Unlike some scholarships, Erasmus doesn't have one central application portal. Each program runs through its own official website, so it's worth taking the time to track down the right one for the specific program you're applying to.

Eligibility Criteria & Requirements:

All nationalities are eligible to apply.

Requirements:

• You need a bachelor's degree (or be in your final year and about to secure one),this one's non-negotiable.
• You must graduate before the master's programme starts, timing matters here!

Documents: A general list of documents that you will most likely have to provide is as follows:

• Valid passport or national ID

• 2-3 recommendation letters (at least one has to come from a professor, not just your favorite manager).

• CV/résumé

• Language proof (IELTS, TOEFL, or Cambridge) English is basically the price of entry but alot of programmes do accept an English Proficiency certificate from your current institution as well.

• Your bachelor's degree certificate/diploma (the original AND a certified translation if it's not in English).

• Motivation letter (even if it's not always listed as "required," trust that every program wants one).

Alternative pathway: No traditional bachelor's? You can still apply if you can show equivalent-level learning but it has to be officially recognized under the national legislation of the country where you earned it. Basically, it needs a real paper trail, not just relevant experience.
